Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra Announces the 2021-22 Season Lineup!
Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce the 2021-22 Season Lineup and to return to full orchestras and audiences!
In addition to well-known classics by Beethoven, Brahms, Bruch, Mahler, and Stravinsky, audiences will also enjoy music by other under-represented composer groups, such as Asian-Americans and those of African descent.
This season will provide a musical discovery and celebration of music by female composers as well. From Hildegard of Bingen, who wrote music in the 12th century, to fresh new music by Wyoming composer Anne Guzzo, CSO will present many centuries of great music by female composers–a celebration very appropriate for The Equality State.
All season long, the orchestra has the honor of sharing the stage with wonderful soloists. CSO welcomes a guest conductor and two composers in October, a husband and wife as soloists (violin and piano) in November, the Cheyenne Chamber Singers, All-City Children’s Choir, and En Avant Dance Studio in December, CSO’s very own flute virtuoso Ysmael Reyes in January, opera singer Levi Hernandez and the En Avant Dance Studio in February, as well as two opera singers and a large massed chorus from UW, LCCC, and the Chamber Singers in April.
In addition, this season is also more of a “return to normal” as the CSO brings back the Holiday concert, family movie music matinee, Hausmusik recitals, and Baroque in the Barn. New ground will also be broken with the “Symphony Underground” concert at the Lincoln Theater with members of the CSO and the rock band Patti Fiasco.
CSO will again offer 5 great season ticket packages so you can choose the one that’s best for you! The all- inclusive Platinum Package and the traditional 5 Masterpiece concert Classic Package both feature a 20% discount. The smaller Duo and Trio packages come with a 10% discount and you can choose your favorite two or three Masterpiece concerts to create the perfect package! The poplular livestream package, made possible by the pandemic, will also still be available. Season ticket packages start at just $36.00 for adults and $18.00 for students!
Season tickets go on sale to the public on Aug. 15th, 2021 by visiting www.cheyennesymphony.org or calling 307-778-8561.
