Priorities in the New Year

I would like to apologize to the people I contacted last year to do articles about, but wasn’t able to follow through in a timely manner. Or at all. We had losses; Christmas birthdays, virtual school, stress, and I just couldn’t keep up with all of my responsibilities. Sweet as Cotton Candy started as a blog in 2011 when my daughter was born as a preemie and we lived in two NiCUs for three months. I wrote on my blog and just shared my thoughts because those times were difficult times for sure. I was fortunate that my three pound one once Christmas miracle was one of the healthy babies and yet it is still nerve wracking being a first time mom and having all that stress to deal with. My daughter is now nine. Who knew we would live through a pandemic ? Ans have lots of loss in our lives but also super good times. I was able to publish books and teach piano to kids and adults, and my daughter. Last year and part of January and probably more .. I have virtual schooled my daughter and it is so overwhelming. My husband works from home, my daughter was home and I wasn’t able to clean house like I used to, pay bills or keep up with my businesses … which also were financially affected. I tried my best to keep up with current events etc but it became too much …in the new year I am looking for contributors who have poetry, art or things that they would like to publish that are positive and helpful. We could use some happiness and positivity in this world of ours for sure 😉 something I have always strived to do with my journalism, writing photography, art, music and books. God bless and I once again apologize for not being able to follow through with promised articles in 2020. Here’s to 2021 and mom teacher time.
